Can a prepaid credit card, such as Vanilla Visa, be used when making purchases at Walmart.com?

Any point of sales that accepts mastercard or visa should take this card. So the answer is yes.
It seems that Apple puts a $1 charge through each time you try to use a prepaid card…so, if you try to put the full amount (like me!), it won’t accept it, as it tries to put $1 PLUS the pending amount you want to charge. When you press them, they tell you to put a lower number in, then walk around with a balance and get snacks. Ridiculous.
